Measuring an angle
an Angle
Measuring an angle with a protractor is easy! Follow these simple steps:
Steps to Measure an Angle:
Place the Protractor:Align the center hole (midpoint) of the protractor with the vertex (corner) of the angle.
Make sure the baseline (0° line) of the protractor lies exactly on one arm of the angle.
Read the Angle:
Look at the other arm of the angle.
Check the degree scale (numbers) where this arm points.
If the angle opens to the right, use the outer scale.
If it opens to the left, use the inner scale.
Note the Measurement:
The number where the second arm crosses the protractor is your angle.
For example, if it points to 45°, the angle is 45 degrees.
Quick Tips:
✔ Always align the vertex and baseline correctly.
✔ Use the correct scale (inner/outer) based on the angle’s direction.
✔ If the angle is bigger than 180°, measure the smaller side and subtract from 360°.
That’s it! Now you can measure any angle easily. 📐😊
